Film Association's action against Namitha

A film's publicity starts long before when its release. Lead actor, actress, director, producer etc are responsible for film's promotional activities before release. The Secretary of the Producers’ Council, Siva Sakthi Pandian said that actresses and actors who do not present themselves during such occasion should be reprimanded.

Speaking at the audio launch of Azhagana Ponnuthan, he took notice of the fact that its heroine Namitha was not present and made this statement.
The FEFSI President VC Guhananthan and the Producers’ Council President Rama Narayanan also expressed the same opinion. Based on the recommendation of Rama Narayanan the issue is expected to be resolved after holding discussions with the Nadigar Sangam.

Charmi as a lead actress in malayalam film

Tamil glamour actress charmi has got a chance to play in malayalam movie. Mamta Mohandas, who was supposed to play the heroine earlier, backed out recently citing illness.This movie is charmi's second malayalam movie, first movie was B.O flop in 2002, with 'Kattu Chembakam', directed by Vinayan.

Actress Sonia Agarwal filed divorce

After some speculation in the south indian movie industry about their personal relationship, famous Tamil director Selvaraghavan and his actress-wife Sonia Agarwal, who married in December 2006, have filed for divorce on Wednesday with mutual consent in the family court at Egmore, Chennai. Since the divorce is sought by both parties, the process is expected to be smooth and brief. According to reports, the trouble began last year when Selvaraghavan started going around with Tamil playback singer, actress and model Andrea Jeremiah, who is playing a lead role in his upcoming film Aayirathil Oruvan

Actress Sneha’s fake photos seized

Cyber crime officials have captured numerous images of Sneha from her tormentor Raghavendra, who was arrested recently following a complaint from the actress. Apart from the morphed images of Sneha with him, Raghavendra was also in possession of various images of her taken apparently without her knowledge in shooting spots. His seized mobile phone also contained messages that were sent to Sneha.
According to the complainant, N. Raghavendran has been harassing her by sending countless SMSs everyday proposing to marry her. Though the actress never, responded, she once SMSed him not to disturb her to which he refused to budge.
Raghavendran, a B.Com graduate, is into real estate business in Bangalore. He had come to Chennai to sign up a land deal where he was apprehended by the police team headed by the Assistant Commissioner of Police (Cyber Crime Cell) Dr. M. Sudhakar.
